Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex Welcomes Dr. Dave ZoretPiedmont Orthopaedic Complex is proud to announce the addition of Dr. David Zoret to its healthcare team. With more than thirty years of experience in occupational medicine, Dr. Zoret is an ideal complement to Piedmont's exceptional workers' compensation program.  Dr. Zoret, who will primarily see workers' compensation patients, is focused on helping injured employees get back to work as quickly and safely as possible. Dr. Zoret is board-certified and fellowship-trained in both Occupational Medicine and Preventative Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), which is the largest medical society dedicated to promoting the health of workers through preventative medicine, clinical care, research and education. ACOEM members are capable of treating job-related diseases, recognizing and resolving workplace hazards, instituting rehabilitation methods and providing well-managed care. According to Piedmont’s CEO, Dr. Mikell Peed, Dr. Zoret will be a strategic asset to employers in Middle Georgia. “Physicians who are knowledgeable about the industries heavily employed in this area - and who understand the workers’ compensation process - can save employers a lot of time and money,” said Peed. “Most importantly, they understand how to get patients get back to work as quickly and safely as possible and reduce the likelihood of long-term disability.” The addition of Dr. Zoret is part of Piedmont Orthopaedic’s focus on providing exceptional workers’ compensation service for both patients and employers in Middle Georgia. Dr. Zoret joins Dr. Layne Myers, who also has nearly thirty years of experience in workers’ compensation, along with a team of orthopaedic surgeons, a neurosurgeon, podiatrists and other orthopaedic professionals. Over the years, Dr. Zoret has treated workers from all types of industries, including transportation, machinery, and public works, and has amassed a wealth of knowledge about the needs and concerns of many types of jobs. He is also an adept navigator of the workers' compensation process and continuously strives to make the medical side as efficient as possible. Dr. Zoret is also board certified in Obesity Medicine, in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review and is a certified independent medical examiner.
